The ABA (Antibody) Screen with Reflex to Titer & PA is a blood test that screens for the presence of specific antibodies in the blood. If the initial screen is positive, the test automatically reflexes to determine the antibody titer and phenotype, providing detailed information to guide diagnosis or treatment. Common reasons for testing include: Pre-transfusion compatibility testing Monitoring patients with suspected or known antibody-mediated conditions Evaluating immune response after transfusions or transplants Supporting diagnosis of hematologic or autoimmune disorders Specimen Type: Blood draw Turnaround Time: Typically 1–3 business days for the initial screen; additional time may be required for reflex testing Collection Available: In-office or mobile blood draw services
