The Aldolase test measures the level of the aldolase enzyme in your blood. Aldolase is found mainly in muscle tissue and helps break down sugars for energy. This test is commonly used to help evaluate muscle disorders, inflammatory muscle diseases, or unexplained muscle weakness.
