The Androstenedione LC/MS test measures levels of the hormone androstenedione in the blood using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC/MS), a highly accurate testing method. Androstenedione is a steroid hormone produced by the adrenal glands and ovaries/testes and plays a key role in the production of testosterone and estrogen.
