The Gyn Cytology with Reflex if ASC-US test is a cervical screening (Pap smear) used to detect abnormal changes in cervical cells that may indicate precancer or cervical cancer. If results show ASC-US (Atypical Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance), reflex HPV testing is automatically performed. Why it’s done: To screen for cervical cancer and precancerous changes To identify abnormal cervical cells early To determine the need for further testing (HPV reflex testing if ASC-US is present) To support routine women’s health and wellness exams Specimen Type: Cervical swab (Pap smear collection) Turnaround Time: Typically 2–5 business days Collection Available: In-office or mobile collection services
