The Hepatic Panel is a group of blood tests used to evaluate liver function and overall liver health. It measures key enzymes and proteins that help detect liver damage, inflammation, or disease. Why it’s done: To assess liver function and detect liver disorders To monitor known liver conditions or medication effects To evaluate symptoms such as fatigue, jaundice, abdominal pain, or dark urine To check liver health in relation to metabolic or systemic conditions Common components include: ALT (SGPT) AST (SGOT) Alkaline Phosphatase Bilirubin (Total & Direct) Albumin Total Protein Specimen Type: Blood draw Turnaround Time: Typically 1–2 business days Collection Available: In-office or mobile blood draw services
