The LP-PLA2 Activity test measures the enzymatic activity of lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (LP-PLA2), which plays a role in vascular inflammation and the development of atherosclerotic plaque. Unlike LP-PLA2 mass tests, the activity test reflects how active the enzyme is, helping provide a more direct assessment of cardiovascular inflammation.
