The Lp-PLA2 (PLAC) test measures the activity or mass of lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2, an enzyme linked to inflammation in the blood vessels and plaque buildup in the arteries. It is used as a marker for cardiovascular risk and helps evaluate the likelihood of developing heart disease or stroke.
