Service Description

The Non-Gynecologic Cytology test examines cells from body sites other than the female reproductive system (e.g., urine, sputum, respiratory secretions, or other body fluids) to detect infection, inflammation, or malignancy. Why it’s done: To evaluate abnormal cells outside the female reproductive tract To screen for cancer or precancerous changes To diagnose infections or inflammatory conditions To monitor patients with known medical conditions affecting other organs Specimen Type: Fluid or tissue sample (depends on site) Turnaround Time: Typically 3–5 business days Collection Available: In-office or mobile collection services
