The Renal Function Panel is a group of blood tests that evaluates how well the kidneys are working by measuring levels of various substances such as creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and electrolytes. Why it’s done: To assess kidney function and detect kidney disease To monitor chronic kidney conditions or treatment response To evaluate electrolyte balance and overall metabolic health To investigate symptoms such as fatigue, swelling, or changes in urine output To screen patients with diabetes, hypertension, or other risk factors for kidney disease Specimen Type: Blood draw Turnaround Time: Typically 1–2 business days Collection Available: In-office or mobile blood draw services
