The SCL-70 IgG test detects IgG antibodies against the SCL-70 antigen, which is associated with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) and other autoimmune connective tissue diseases. Why it’s done: To help diagnose systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) To evaluate unexplained skin thickening, Raynaud’s phenomenon, or organ involvement To monitor disease progression or response to treatment To support differential diagnosis of autoimmune connective tissue disorders To assess immune system activity in patients with systemic autoimmune symptoms Specimen Type: Blood draw Turnaround Time: Typically 3–5 business days Collection Available: In-office or mobile blood draw services
