The SS-A IgG (Ro) Antibody test detects IgG antibodies associated with autoimmune disorders, including Sjögren’s syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Why it’s done: To help diagnose Sjögren’s syndrome To support diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) To evaluate patients with dry eyes, dry mouth, rashes, or other autoimmune symptoms To monitor disease progression or response to treatment To assist in differential diagnosis of autoimmune connective tissue disorders Specimen Type: Blood draw Turnaround Time: Typically 3–5 business days Collection Available: In-office or mobile blood draw services
